Senior Actuarial Risk Manager

Our client, Nissan Global Reinsurance Ltd. (NGRe), an affiliate of Nissan Motors Ltd., is the global centre of competence for Nissan's consumer insurance business and reinsurance with annual premiums exceeding $750m. The Senior Actuary will be responsible for overseeing the global performance of consumer insurance, service contract and Property & Casualty insurance products as well as corporate risk management and new markets/product business development. This role leads an internal actuary management team, oversees external actuarial and fronting insurer relationships and reports to the President. Primary Responsibilities: Oversee and validate regional consumer product pricing oversite, including analysis and annual performance reviews for subsidiaries, consumer insurance, service contract and fee based products Support annual budget and forecasting projections as well as conduct and/or validate product business cases Working directly with Nissan Global Risk team, to oversee and validate P&C lines, including semi-annual actuarial reserve analysis, annual renewal pricing, manage transfer pricing and handle new program requests Oversee and validate consumer products IBNR for all markets, regulatory analysis including Solvency II model validation, ORSA, model and earning pattern validation, capital model management (including consolidated and standalone BSCR + stress testing) and support IFRS-17 Complete annual Statement of Actuarial Opinion with appointed company Actuary Oversee and support non-subsidiary expected loss ratios and earning patterns Coordinate, manage and oversee all product development for non-subsidiary markets and develop business cases to support new product launches Manage fronting insurer relationships and/or third party administrators and coordinate a competitive product benchmarking to other auto manufacturers Monitor the performance of existing products and initiate countermeasures Responsible for risk management and analysis and provide updates and presentations to the Board Lead the risk committee with risk registry, risk management framework and consumer data protection Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or similar analytical subject preferred Minimum of 5 years' experience with extended service contract, pricing and product development, obtained within the automotive industry Experience in negotiating and securing insurer and/or supplier contracts Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills Ability to read and interpret financial data, create forecasts for new product scenarios Excellent computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Excel and Access. Tableau knowledge would be a plus Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and team player skills Self-starter with the ability to function without supervision and prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively Ability to travel internationally when required

Requirements
