Head Of Actuarial Reporting

Legal & General Resources Bermuda Ltd. is a Bermuda-based specialist life reinsurer providing life reinsurance solutions to clients in the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada. The Head of Actuarial Reporting is responsible for developing and maintaining actuarial control cycle capabilities in Bermuda for L&G Re actuarial reporting. Key accountabilities include: Develop and maintain actuarial reporting systems, controls, and processes to support financial reporting and monitoring of reinsurance business. Deliver actuarial reporting, including IFRS, Solvency II, Economic Balance Sheet (EBS), CISSA, and potentially embedded value results. Recommend assumptions and methodologies to senior management and the L&G Re Board, working closely with technical govemance committees and finance teams. Analyze financial results and contribute to recommendations and actions to enhance capital and profitability. Support the intemational development of L&G Re, considering operational and financial implications of proposals. Review and validate financial metrics produced by pricing and investment teams. Maintain key finance-related policies and provide actuarial support for strategic projects and ad-hoc investigations. Prepare reports and analyses for review by the Chief Actuary, L&G Re Board, and wider L&G committees. Skills and Experience Required: Fully qualified Life Actuary with a minimum of seven years of experience in annuities reporting. Significant experience and deep technical understanding of actuarial reporting in IFRS and Solvency II frameworks; familiarity with Bermuda EBS is desirable. Strong understanding and experience of individual and bulk purchase annuity business and longevity swaps. Proven ability to understand, apply, interpret, and effectively communicate complex financial information to the Board. Excellent people management skills with a track record of maintaining high employee engagement and s upporting company culture. Strong relationship management skills with Executives, Boards, and intemal stakeholders in a global organization. Ability to act independently and as part of a team, applying sound judgment and pragmatism to achieve business aims. Deep commercial awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic, market, and regulatory environment. Highly organized, efficient, and able to work overtime to meet deadlines.
