Bulk Deposits Operations Manager

This individual will be responsible for the management of daily operations of Bulk Deposits. The incumbent will also work closely with their direct report in identifying and implementing enhancements to daily work flows. Your responsibilities will include: Provide effective leadership to the team by conducting performance appraisals, identifying training needs, and delivering coaching and support to enhance individual and team performance. Foster a positive work environment by promoting collaboration, fairness, and maintaining high staff morale. Oversee daily operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Ensure bulk deposit operations comply with established procedures, while strictly adhering to all bank policies and regulatory requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring all processes are executed with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism. Prepare, analyze, and report monthly departmental and individual performance statistics. Review daily reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced accurately and on time. Oversee and resolve customer investigations promptly and thoroughly. Monitor and enforce adherence to cash limits, ensuring strict compliance with operational guidelines. Verify that all documentation is accurately completed and properly endorsed. Manage the accuracy and efficiency of staff processing commercial deposits, ATM deposits, and no-wait deposits. Develop, implement, and continuously improve departmental processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and control operating expenses, ensuring productivity targets and departmental budget objectives are achieved. Develop strategies to reduce overtime costs while maintaining high service standards. Remain vigilant for unusual or suspicious transactions, perform necessary overrides and reversals, and escalate issues to management as appropriate. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the department and achievement of organizational objectives.

Requirements

Associate Degree and five years’ work experience with proven knowledge of all aspects of a financial services operational area with at least five years handling large cash volumes. Undertaken with proven completion of a Supervisory Management Course. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think logically in solving problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills. Ability to plan and deliver service to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Thorough knowledge of core banking systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail. General knowledge of Banking products, ledger balances, excellent customer service concepts and anti-money laundering policy and procedures. Must be flexible with work hours and perform overtime as necessary to ensure work and team is completed and balanced. Able to work on short notice. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and customer service oriented.
