Data Analyst - Registrar Of Companies

We are seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to join the IT team at the Registrar of Companies (ROC) in Hamilton, Bermuda. This role will be instrumental in strengthening the data infrastructure and analytical capabilities essential for regulatory compliance and reporting. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities to support cross-functional teams and drive data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and reporting systems • Create and implement ETL processes to populate data warehouses with information from regulatory filings • Generate analytical reports and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions • Design and create visualizations and dashboards using Power BI to communicate complex data effectively Data Management • Access and analyze Catalyst data, the registry system • Develop and maintain reports and identify data outliers • Contribute to Risk Matrix analysis, testing, and documentation • Work with Companies and Partnerships (CAPR) data across multiple systems • Be aware and sensitive to data privacy laws and regulations • Work within the constraints of the internal policies governing safe use of data and its classification implications System Management & Documentation • Document data processes, models, and specifications thoroughly • Participate in data quality assurance activities, including data cleansing and validation • Evaluate and integrate third-party data solutions as needed • Implement and enforce data security protocols for regulatory information • Support automation of routine data analysis processes Other Responsibilities: • Provide technical support for general IT-related queries and troubleshooting within the team • Maintain and update the organization's website and web-based applications using basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal policies and procedures related to data management and IT operations at the Registrar of Companies • Collaborate with team members across departments to identify operational challenges and propose data-driven or technical solutions • Support the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools to improve departmental efficiency Qualifications & Skills: • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field • 4 years of recent technical experience obtained in a similar data oriented role • Previous experience working within a similar financial services or regulatory environment and clear understanding of data governance and security best practices • Strong proficiency in SQL and database management • Must have experience using Python, Power BI and Tableau busiiness intelligence tools • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights • Excellent documentation skills and methodical approach to problem solving • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or similar
