Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) strives to provide the highest in quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine, having a broad and in-depth of experience in Nephrology. The Post Holders will actively participate in the delivery of high quality services. The Post Holders will have responsibility for providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient Nephrology in conjunction with colleagues across the Organisation. The Dr Beresford Swan Dialysis Unit is a specialised provider of services to Patients with kidney disease, including Patients suffering from chronic kidney failure. A dedicated Clinical Dietitian is assigned to work with those who receive dialysis and the Dialysis Team also treats Patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Clinical & General Responsibilities: In liaison with Consultant colleagues and overseas service providers, the Post Holders will be responsible for the clinical management of Patients under their care including nephrology, dialysis and transplant patients; Provides care for a cohort of Patients who have haemodialysis in the Dr. Beresford Swan Dialysis unit; Promote and participate in interdisciplinary clinical rounds; Collaborates with the designated Service Chiefs, Clinical Managers / Clinical Directors; Act as an advisor to the Chief of Staff and Senior Officers of BHB; Provide appropriate, time return for external Consultations and Quality and Risk activities as required.
