Works under the general direction of Plant Manager with minimum supervision to direct and supervise day to day plant operations and staff, oversee the planned maintenance program and plant repairs. Responsible for organization and implementation of staff training programs; regulation of Contractors access for disposal and maintenance. Accountable for overall plant safety, environmental compliance, and administration of operational contracts. Professionally liable for safe and effective operation of a $100M+ steam power plant and life safety of staff and site occupants.

Requirements

Must hold a Professional Designation in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or a First Class Power Engineering License. Minimum of (3) years post qualification experience and five (5) years' experience in a high-pressure steam plant or power plant operation with at least (3) years at a supervisory level. Must have experience in the management of a large, unionized workforce.
