Computer Information Systems Lecturer

The successful candidate should be a creative professional who can provide practical, hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment, evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques, and use instructional technology and active learning approaches. The lecturer may be required to teach one evening per semester during the academic year. Additionally, as summer teaching is optional, the lecturer will be compensated accordingly. The lecturer will teach various Computer Information Systems courses, including Introduction to Business Applications of Computers, Data Management, Introduction to Programming, as well as implementation of a new Computer Science program and design of new courses in Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming (Python, Java or C++), Cloud Computing and Client/Server Web Programming. Candidates for teaching positions in the Business, Hospitality & Technology Education Division must possess a Master's Degree (MA or MS) in Computer Science from an accredited institution. A Doctorate is preferred. The successful candidate must be competent in the use of digital learning tools and applications. In addition, a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.
