We are seeking the services of a highly skilled professional to manage the daily maintenance and activities of our Information Services Department. The successful applicant will have his/her primary responsibility of maintaining the high availability of next generation systems in an academic environment, including network and system hardware, software, audiovisual equipment and CCTV Technology. Responsibilities include leading a team of IT professionals, managing a complex network and database, maintaining VMware/vSphere Data Center, managing service delivery and quality of service, and budgeting for ongoing technology maintenance.

Requirements

The Postholder must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent; a Master’s Degree is preferred. Must have at least 5 years hands-on and supervisory experience in the IT industry. A sound and practical knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Applications, Cisco switches and routers and IP based systems. Must possess professional qualifications or equivalent training/experience that would include at least two of the following certifications: MCSA, CCNA, VCP, MCP, MCITP (messaging). Must possess competencies of at least Level 3 IT Technologist/Engineer. Strong interpersonal, professional communication skills to communicate effectively with faculty, teachers, students and parents; good analytical skills to interpret and discuss technical strategies at a high level.
