The Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning (BCCL) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Primary Years Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This role is ideal for an educator who embraces a generalist approach, confidently teaching across subject areas while designing engaging, interactive lessons that reflect best teaching practices and personalized learning for students who learn differently (dyslexia, ADHD, and other language-based learning differences). Responsibilities include designing engaging lessons, implementing multi-sensory teaching strategies, fostering a supportive classroom environment, tracking progress, and participating in community-based outing experiences including swimming supervision.

Requirements

Teaching qualifications (B.Ed., PGCE, QTS) from an internationally accredited college or university.
Minimum of 12 weeks of student teaching with an internationally accredited university.
Minimum of three years of experience teaching students with learning differences.
Experience teaching English using a phonics-based approach; Orton-Gillingham method preferred.
Additional training/experience in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) preferred.
Licensed with the Bermuda Educator's Council or meets requirements to obtain a license.
SCARS and CPR/First Aid certified, or available to attend training.
