Our Client, BAC Universal Electric, is seeking an experienced and skilled MEP Project Manager to join their dynamic team. As Bermuda's longest-serving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracting and supply company, BAC Universal Electric, is looking for a motivated individual with a proven track record of managing complex MEP projects. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing projects across all three disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) with strong leadership and technical skills.Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Oversee all financial aspects of MEP projects, including ongoing job forecasting, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Design-Build Expertise: Apply Design-Build experience to MEP projects, particularly in critical power systems; HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing systems, and energy-efficient designs. Experience with systems such as Liebert (electrical), Chilled Water and VRF (mechanical) is a strong asset. Documentation and Planning: Read and interpret MEP construction documents and drawings to prepare accurate estimates, scope letters, and technical proposals for projects involving mechanical systems, electrical installations, and plumbing infrastructure. Coordination and Efficiency: Coordinate multiple MEP projects, ensuring smooth integration across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines, and leading efficient time and resource management across all areas. Client and Team Communication: Lead project meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and ensuring seamless communication between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors. Problem-Solving and Client Relations: Address and resolve technical issues or client concerns across MEP disciplines with professionalism and innovative problem-solving skills. Team Leadership: Set clear goals and expectations for Foremen and subcontractors in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams; provide coaching, counseling, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders: Manage and generate Requests For Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders for MEP systems, ensuring all changes align with project scope and budget. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to strict safety standards and industry regulations across all MEP projects, conducting thorough post-project reviews to identify improvements.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in an MEP Project Manager role, managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects of up to $10M in size. Proven ability to oversee complex MEP installations, including HVAC systems, electrical grids, and plumbing systems. A college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and initiative. Excellent accountability and teamwork skills. Strong oral and written communication abilities. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), project management, and estimating software (experience with tools such as Accubid, AutoBid and Bluebeam Revu is required). Proven track record in maintaining client relationships and contributing to business development within the MEP industry.
