Arch Reinsurance Ltd. (Bermuda) provides specialty property, casualty and life reinsurance products through reinsurance intermediaries worldwide. These programs range from Property Catastrophe and Property Excess of Loss reinsurance to Professional Liability and Marine Treaties. We invite applications for the position of Head of Pricing. The Head of Pricing's primary responsibility is to be a leader in the actuarial evaluation and communication of risk and return across a wide variety of trading opportunities, and the co-ordination and development of resources in support of actuarial pricing. They will manage the Bermuda pricing team, and report to the Chief Actuary. Key Responsibilities: • Resource planning and coordination to ensure high service levels and collaboration with underwriters during peak pricing season and throughout the year. • Enhancing individual trading opportunities through recommendations on deal structuring, evaluating adequacy of price levels, comparison of risk/return characteristics to other similar deals in the market. • Developing the expertise of the pricing team and coordinating with pricing teams in other offices • Creating risk and return models appropriate for the line of business and opportunity under consideration. • Lead and/or oversee actuarial projects to improve pricing methodologies and address needs of underwriters and various other stakeholders. • Create process efficiencies that will enable the team to leverage the current actuarial platform. • Effectively communicate observations and recommendations to team members both within and outside the actuarial function; follow through on one's convictions. Ensure results of risk and retum analysis are captured using the appropriate technology to facilitate downstream processing of analysis parameters that are used in other company projects. Maintain various capital models relevant for pricing deals across multiple capital pools. Research, educate, promote and implement data science technology to improve quality and efficiency of analytics. Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: A University Degree in Mathematics, Applied Science, or similar. FCAS or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Property and Casualty Re/Insurance industry. Experience in pricing a wide range of lines of business including Property, Casualty, and Specialty. Experience pricing a variety of reinsurance treaties and structures. Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic. Ability to manipulate large databases and proficiency in SQL. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience leading a team and prioritizing a demanding workload.

Requirements
