Anchor Restaurant, Bar and Lounge is hiring a

Sushi Chef

Job Type: Contract

The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing traditional/modern sushi dishes in accordance with food health and safety regulations and restaurant standards, i.e. quality, portion size, presentation while maintaining cost control. Duties include but are not limited to creating a rich sushi menu, preparing various types of sushi dishes, expertly cutting different types of fish, inspecting the quality of ingredients, adding additional flavors, managing food preparation activities, maintaining a clean work environment, regularly taking inventory, reporting problems with equipment, and ensuring communication with Food & Beverage Staff.

Requirements

Applicants must have an Associates Degree/Certification in Culinary Arts from a recognized culinary school along with four (4) years' experience working in a busy Sushi Bar. Applicants must have completed Food Hygiene training. Consideration may be given to applicants who do not have an Associates Degree/Certification but have six (6) years experience in a busy Sushi Bar.
