Stores Manager

The Stores Manager will be responsible for efficient warehouse management and ensuring control of all incoming and outgoing inventory. This includes overseeing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of HVAC materials, tools and equipment. This role ensures the timely availability of stock for projects and maintenance, maintains accurate records, implements best practices in storekeeping, and supports operational efficiency. With 7 years of experience, the Stores Manager brings expertise in inventory management, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Manage day-to-day operations of the HVAC stores, including receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials. Maintain accurate inventory records using data storage warehouse management systems. Monitor stock levels, conduct periodic stock audits, and implement measures to minimise shortages or overstocking. Ensure proper handling, labelling, and safe storage of HVAC spare parts, tools, and equipment. Liaise with procurement, managers, and vendors to ensure the timely availability of required materials. Prepare and maintain reports such as stock status, consumption trends, and material requisitions. Overseas receiving of stores, which includes the unloading of containers. Purchase order process is maintained with the main office to ensure all purchases are made on time. Identify opportunities for process improvement in store operations and inventory control. Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. Assists with various administrative work when required. Deliver outstanding service to walk-in trade customers, ensuring their requirements are addressed quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience in stores/warehouse management, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry. High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement). Diploma/Certificate in HVAC Mechanical Engineering, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred but not essential). Additional qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Project Management are considered an advantage. Strong knowledge of HVAC spare parts, consumables, and equipment. Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (Excel, Word). Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills. Strong analytical ability for stock management and reporting. Knowledge of safety procedures, material handling, and quality control standards. Well-groomed, neat appearance. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by the company and lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights; and work in small crawl spaces. Observe all company procedures and safety rules. Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required. Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
