Our client, the BF&M Group of Companies, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician for their Bermuda-based property portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management, the Senior Facilities Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of building systems for assigned properties in Bermuda. This role involves ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the building's infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. The Senior Facilities Technician will lead and coordinate external vendors to implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules; keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA safety regulations and Bermuda's building codes Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring work meets quality standards Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance tasks Monitor and optimize energy management usage and best practices Respond promptly to emergency situations, minimizing disruption to building operations Assist with the monitoring of facility vendor contract KPIs and Security Access controls Assist with managing the administration of the security access system, access control and maintaining various safety components as assigned • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the annual capital and operational expense budgets as required Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Five years of related work experience in facilities management • Associate-level university degree or certifications (e.g. Facilities Management, electrical, and Health & Safety) preferred • Practical experience in a commercial facilities role required, with in-depth knowledge of property management and facility operations Knowledge of the Building, Occupational Health & Safety Act of 1982 Excellent communication skills - written, oral and presentation Proven track record of excellent customer service levels with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated organizational skills, including an ability to manage competing priorities/deadlines Strong proficiency of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, digital platforms) Proven work experience with vendor management and budgeting preferred Sufficient strength and physical dexterity (70lbs) to perform duties and responsibilities that include heavy lifting • Must possess a valid driver's license with flexibility to work outside of normal operating hours

Requirements
