Performing a variety of duties in and around the buildings at the Mid Atlantic Wellness Institute (MWI), the successful candidate will ensure that equipment and the buildings are kept in a good state of repair while maintaining an active preventive maintenance program. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining stoves, water sanitizers, nurses call system and filters on air conditioning units, replacing light fixtures, bulb tubes, outlets, and switches, performing rough carpentry work such as cutting and fashioning parts for furniture and other wooden articles, repairing water taps, toilets, drain pipes and descales equipment as necessary, and assisting tradesmen when carrying out specific functions in the area, i.e., mason, painter, electrician, carpenter, plumber, or air conditioning technician.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years' experience, knowledge of building and construction, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail. Demonstrable experience repairing and maintaining equipment.
