Thermodynamics and Maintenance Ltd, is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior HVAC Technician & Appliance Tech to lead field operations and deliver high quality service. Key Duties and Responsibilities include: Install, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, including split units, ducted systems, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment; Diagnose and repair major household appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, etc.); Lead job sites, coordinate workflow, and oversee technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations; Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to complete installations and troubleshooting; Perform system testing, refrigerant charging, leak detection, and compliance with EPA/Bermuda refrigerant handling regulations; Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and performance checks on HVAC and appliance systems; Communicate clearly with clients regarding findings, repairs, and recommendations; Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and inventory of tools and materials; Ensure all work meets Bermuda building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations; Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Must have HVAC trade certificate, 5+ years HVAC & appliance repair experience, Valid Refrigerant Handling License, Valid Bermuda Driver’s License. Required Competencies, Skills and Abilities: Advanced technical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, ventilation, and major household appliances; Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities; Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics; Leadership and supervisory skills; Excellent understanding of safety standards, Bermuda building codes, and refrigerant‑handling regulations; Proficiency with tools, meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment; Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and team members; Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with minimal supervision; Physical capability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform hands‑on technical tasks; Reliable, professional, and detail‑oriented work ethic with a commitment to high‑quality service; Valid Bermuda Driver’s License and ability to travel to job sites across the island; Problem‑solving mindset.
