Whitney Institute Middle School is seeking a dynamic, organized, and student-centered Librarian / Media Resource Specialist to lead and manage our school library as a vibrant learning resource centre for the 2026/2027 school year. This role goes beyond traditional librarianship. The successful candidate will oversee books, digital resources, and media management while collaborating closely with the English Department. The librarian may also be required to teach an English or reading class, depending on school needs. We are looking for someone who is passionate about literacy, information fluency, technology integration, and fostering a love of reading in middle school students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (Library Science, Education, English, or related field preferred) • B.E.C. License • Experience working with middle school students • Strong organizational and technology skills • Ability to manage both instructional and administrative responsibilities
