We are seeking an experienced, motivated Produce Manager to lead our produce department and ensure a top-quality shopping experience for our customers. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, excellent product knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of freshness, merchandising, and customer service.Position Summary: The Produce Manager oversees all daily operations of the produce department, including staff supervision, inventory management, product merchandising, equipment operation, and adherence to company policies. This position requires a five and a half-day work week, including Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional long shifts.Key Responsibilities: Oversee, schedule, and motivate produce associates; ensure performance and compliance with company policies Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and accurate record keeping Maintain high merchandising standards, proper rotation, and code date accuracy Ensure fresh, well-stocked displays that drive sales and meet profit goals Provide friendly, helpful customer service, including assisting customers and preparing fruit baskets Uphold all health, sanitation, and safety standards.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in retail produce management Highly effective leader with drive, determination and sound decision-making skills Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of produce handling, merchandising, and PLU labeling Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient department Availability to work a five and a half-day work week, including weekends and some public holidays.
