The Garden Market Ltd. is currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our grocery store. The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager, employees, and vendors in all aspects of operations of the store. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership and work ethic; ensuring customer service standards, compliance of policies and procedures, ensuring inventory and stock levels are sufficient, while ensuring and encouraging customer and employee satisfaction. Key responsibilities include acting as point of contact in the absence of the Store Manager, opening and closing the store, supervising and training employees, handling customer complaints, overseeing receiving and stock control, and maintaining store conditions.
Requirements
Diploma in Business or Retail Management, Grocery Retail or similar industry; 3+ years of industry experience as a Grocery Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager/Department Manager; Experience with industry-specific technologies, such as inventory systems, and proficiency in credit and cash reports; Ability to handle highly pressurized and confidential scenarios with discretion and composure; Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.
