The successful candidate for this position will join our Primary Department's substitute teaching list. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering teacher absences and teaching classes at the Primary level (K – Grade 5 inclusive of Junior Kindergarten). The successful candidate for this position will join our Secondary Department's substitute teaching list. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering teacher absences and teaching classes at the Middle and Senior levels (Grade 6 – 12). Candidates for the above positions: * Must be a qualified graduate. * Must be licensed by the Bermuda Educators Council. * Must be able to demonstrate a variety of teaching and learning pedagogies. * Must possess a valid SCARS Certification and First Aid Certification. * Demonstrated ability and experience using a variety of technologies to enhance learning in the classroom. * Must be able to use an online grading system. * Demonstrated ability and experience using a variety of assessment and evaluation methodologies. * Demonstrated understanding of project based and problem-based learning would be preferable as would a working knowledge of an inquiry-based program. * Demonstrated understanding of, and a commitment to, the principles of independent education. * Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. * Committed to academic excellence and strive for positive relations with all students, parents and colleagues alike. * Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change. * Proven ability to work in an ever evolving and fast paced environment. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) * Strong organizational skills. * Clean criminal record.
