Sandys Secondary Middle School (Sandys) is seeking experienced, innovative, and student-centered Teachers for our senior school. Sandys is a vibrant and inclusive middle school currently transitioning to a senior school. We are committed to academic excellence, creativity, and student well-being. We foster a supportive learning environment where educators are encouraged to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Key Duties and Responsibilities We are seeking qualified teachers who can: deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned instruction; foster inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom environments; assess and support student learning using effective strategies; collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families; and participate in school life, professional learning, and continuous improvement. We are seeking qualified professionals in the following subject areas: English Language Arts Mathematics Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Social Studies / History / Geography Learning Support Technology / Computer Science Physical Education & Health Foreign Languages (e.g., French, Spanish) Design & Technology Music Visual Art Dance Family Studies

Requirements

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in another subject area together with a Teaching Certificate. Applicants must also be registered or be eligible for registration with the Bermuda Educators Council. A minimum of 2 years post teaching certification experience at the senior school level is preferred along with demonstrable teaching experience at the IGCSE, AP, AS, A2, IB level. Applicants must have strong classroom management skills; experience in curriculum implementation and instructional methodology; demonstrate that they are trained to teach in the specific subject area for the role in which they are applying; be able to work in a diverse and inclusive learning environment; foster a collaborative and supportive professional culture; pursue ongoing professional development and mentorship; and have the desire to make a meaningful impact in public education.
