After School And Camps Program Supervisor

Reporting to the After School & Camp Program Manager, the After School & Camp Supervisor will perform various supervisory and and administrative tasks. The incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of a team of After School Leaders, to ensure the effective management of the day-to-day operations, which may include morning supervision prior to the start of school. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of camps during the school breaks. Key Responsibilities include: Supervise and manage part-time staff, which includes but not limited to providing training and development. Assisting with Morning Supervision as needed Collaborate and assist staff with the design and implementation of activities to encourage student intellectual, creative, artistic and athletic enrichment. Ensure that Saltus standards and Health and Safety policies are met as well as appropriate care is given to students. Maintain a clean and organized environment. Ensure that students understand the program rules and procedures and maintain appropriate order and conduct. Maintain open communication with the After School & Camp Program Manager on various program related matters. Communicate and build working relationships with parents and teachers. Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the operations of the programs. Provide supervision to camps which include: Planning themed camps which are engaging developmentally appropriate activities in the areas of inquiry-based learning, character development, fitness and recreation, academic enrichment. Working with staff to organize supplies and implement activities for the holiday camps.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Minimum of an Associates' Degree in Early Childhood is preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position working wi students. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience working in a school environment preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Proven ability to lead. First Aid/CPR/AED certified, or willing to become certified. SCARS certified, or willing to become certified. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to to adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. Ability to handle frequent interruptions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various stakeholders at all levels. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to act with professionalism. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and without supervision. Tactful and diplomatic. Positive attitude and enthusiastic. Sense of humor. Clean criminal record
