The Assistant Principal plays a vital role in supporting and promoting the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of MSA. The individual will have the responsibility for all aspects of teacher management which may include recruitment, hiring, orientation, and assignment of duties. Excellence in leadership, inspiring and motivating others, ensuring teaching staff have opportunities to learn and grow, and are positioned to inspire academic excellence is an expectation. Collaboration skills are required to work closely with the Principal in order to contribute to the strategic goals of MSA and analyze and plan for its future needs and further development. The Assistant Principal of the School will oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, working closely with the Principal and assume the responsibilities of the Principal in their absence.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree in education, a master’s degree or higher in education or a related field; Ten or more years of experience working in education, with administrative and leadership experience preferred; Extensive experience and a deep knowledge of an international curriculum and exceptional abilities in the areas of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; Experience in managing and inspiring professional growth of staff, through effective training, coaching and development; Superior skills in strategic planning and implementation of instructional programs; Excellent organizational and administrative skills; Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Knowledge of, and commitment to, quality inclusive education for all students; Superior interpersonal and communication skills; Strong skills in the use of current technology as a tool in education.
