The After School Program Staff is responsible for providing a safe, supportive and enriching environment for students during out-of-school hours. This role involves supervising children, facilitating educational and recreational activities, assisting with homework and promoting positive social interactions. Staff work collaboratively with team members to implement structured programming that supports students' academic, emotional, and physical development. The position requires strong communication, patience, and a genuine passion for working with youth. Flexibility and reliability are key, as staff play a vital role in maintaining a consistent and engaging afterschool experience for all participants.

Requirements

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework in education child development, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is typically required. CPR and First Aid certification are required or must be obtained upon hire. Background checks and scars certification mandatory. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents and colleagues. Key competencies include teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving in dynamic environments. Time management, organizational skills, and basic computer literacy are also important.
