The individual will consult/analyze and deliver on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of Financial Analysis responsibility. They will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. They will prepare, analyze and report more complex financial information and provide management with a more complex financial perspective for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.What you'll be doing: - Prepares, analyzes and reports on complex financial information for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. - Provides management with a more complex financial perspective for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. - Evaluates financial information to develop and deliver more complex standard, and ad-hoc financial analysis. - Provides support to the financial analysis team in the preparation and delivery of the analysis of financial information including more complex financial analysis for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. - Identifies financial analysis issues/concerns and recommends mitigation solution(s) to management. - Carries out duties in compliance with all jurisdictional regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.What we're looking for: Must-haves: - Bachelor's degree, or at least 4 years of equivalent and relevant work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree, in addition to the experience requirement listed below. - 5+ years experience in financial analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. - Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting for reinsurance companies. - Demonstrated knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends in the profession and for assigned area(s) of responsibility, with demonstrated ability to assess impacts, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. - Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality. - Successful track record of championing and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. - Hands-on, recent experience preparing and analyzing more complex financial assignments and/or projects for a reinsurer, preferably in the Life reinsurance industry. - This role requires approximately 10-15% of overseas business travel. Applicants must be able to accommodate this need.
