• Diploma or degree in Building Automation, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Technology, or a related field; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Certification or demonstrated proficiency with one or more major BAS platforms (e.g., Automated Logic, Johnson Controls Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, or equivalent).
• OSHA safety certification or equivalent health and safety training preferred.
• Energy management certification (e.g., Certified Energy Manager - CEM) considered an asset.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in Building Automation Systems, building controls, or MEP systems.
• Demonstrated experience in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting BAS/BMS platforms.
• Deep technical knowledge of BAS/BMS systems, HVAC controls, building energy systems, and related codes and standards.
• Experience in client-facing roles involving technical proposals, service agreements, or project coordination.
• Prior experience in an energy management or building performance role is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret energy data and build performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and present technical proposals and service scopes.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with BAS commissioning tools and energy management software.
• Excellent client communication skills - able to translate technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to mentorship, safety, and continuous improvement.
