City Café Ltd. requires chefs for our Café and Catering business. Key Duties and Responsibilities Duties will include cooking meals for daily specials & catering, set up and pricing, assisting with caterings, as well as maintaining control of stock and food costs. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Applicants must have knowledge and experience in Mediterranean Cuisine (including pasta, pizza), catering menus and Asian menus. A proven track record of honesty and dependability is necessary and at least five years minimum experience is required. Truck license an asset. Required Competencies, Skills and Abilities Applicants for all positions must be team players, work on own initiative and cope with a fast-paced, demanding business. Successful candidates would be required to work 6 days per week from 6am – 6pm and Sundays and Public Holidays as required. A proven track record of honesty and dependability is necessary. A minimum of two (2) written employment references and resume must be submitted with application. We are a drug free work place. All successful candidates will be required to do pre-employment substance-abuse screening.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience in Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, minimum five years experience, truck license is an asset, teamwork, initiative, cope with fast-paced environments, two written references required.
