Responsible for daily delivery of orders to customers and collection of customer returns via heavy truck, as well as up keep of the delivery vehicle, and any other associated duties as specified or requested by the Dispatcher. Specific Tasks and Duties include: Load truck and check that all goods on the invoices are accounted for; Deliver goods to customers; Pick up customer returns as necessary; Ensure all goods being returned for credit are checked by Operations Supervisor; Keep assigned vehicle clean; Report any repairs required for truck to Operations Supervisor; Keep assigned area clean and tidy; Undertake any other tasks, appropriate to the level of the post and to the job responsibilities as required by the manager to whom the post reports.
Requirements
A valid Heavy Truck License as well as a clean road safety record. Previous work experience with heavy truck driving is an asset. A strong work ethic with excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of and familiarity with Bermuda Customs processes (for airport and seaports) would be an asset. Excellent time management skills. The ability to work with minimum supervision. A high degree of attention to detail, self-discipline, and initiative are necessary. This position requires lifting and is physically demanding; Candidates must have the physical ability to complete all duties of the position.
