The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is committed to nurturing the next generation of Bermudian talent by providing meaningful, career-building opportunities for students and emerging professionals. Our Summer Internship Programme is designed for individuals who are eager to explore career possibilities, gain practical industry exposure, and develop professional skills within a dynamic and fast-evolving sector. We are seeking motivated, proactive, and forward-thinking students who demonstrate initiative, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn. This structured internship offers hands-on experience in Tourism and Destination Marketing, providing interns with valuable insight into one of Bermuda's most important economic industries. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, receive mentorship from BTA team members, and develop key competencies in communication, research, project support, and professional collaboration. The programme also provides opportunities to build networks, strengthen workplace readiness, and gain real-world exposure to strategic tourism initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Support the planning, research, and delivery of key initiatives that enhance Bermuda's visitor experience and contribute to the Bermuda Tourism Authority's strategic objectives. • Assist in gathering and analysing information, preparing clear and concise summaries, and contributing ideas that support informed decision-making and strengthen programme outcomes. • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, gaining exposure to multiple functional areas while supporting the timely progression of project activities and milestones. • Contribute thoughtfully during team discussions and project reviews by sharing observations, insights, and well-considered recommendations. Qualifications & Experience: • The programme is available to Bermudian students currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme, preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Marketing, Communications, Research, or a related discipline. • Demonstrates strong organisational ability, creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to contribute ideas in a professional environment. Able to work both independently and collaboratively, showing initiative, accountability, and a professional attitude. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and willing to learn and adapt to new tools and systems used within the organisation. • Programme is open to Bermudian students.
