The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is recruiting for an HR Generalist to join its busy People & Culture team. Established in 2014, the BTA is the official Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) for the island with a mandate to grow the tourism economy and promote Bermuda globally as a world-class destination for travel and tourism investment. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this role will support the day-to-day operations of the HR function across Bermuda and New York offices. The HR Generalist will ensure smooth delivery of HR services, oversee and ensure compliance across all processes, support the employee experience and assist with various strategic initiatives led by the Director. Key Responsibilities: Effectively support all day-to-day operations including recruitment, onboarding, probation management, offboarding, HRIS administration, and employee records. Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compensation processes in partnership with Finance. Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with Bermuda and US laws, including PIPA. Ensure staff remain informed of all changes and, all HRIS documentation remains up to date. Support performance management and employee development programs. Track and analyze HR metrics to provide insights on workforce trends. Deliver employee communications, soft skills and compliance training (PIPA; PATI and other regulatory requirements as appropriate), across the organization. Ensure all training, development programmes, certifications and designation data is maintained within the HRIS system. Partner with managers to provide support with employee relations and general HR matters as they arise. Participate in the employee engagement committee and support the Director with the establishment and implementation of various Employee engagement initiatives Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or professional HR accreditation (for example, PHR or SPHR). At least 3 years of comprehensive HR experience across the employee lifecycle. Strong knowledge of Bermuda employment laws, immigration, and compliance requirements. Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks and competing deadlines. Demonstrated experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and HR analytics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility. High integrity and professionalism in managing sensitive information.
