We are looking for a Tile & Stone Installation Manager to join our Team. This is a hands-on working position. Bermuda Interiors Ltd is an award-winning Interior General Contracting firm specializing in the construction of Commercial Office and Hospitality interiors. Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Schedule work and monitor cost against budget.
Manage installation personnel and quality of work as it progresses.
Prepare estimates and quantity takeoffs.
Create a working layout for A and D/owners for review and approval.
Evaluate the substrate for compatibility with the proposed/specified method statement.
Prepare work surfaces appropriately prior to installation.
Properly install tiles and stones in various structures.
Cut and shape tiles and stones using specialized tools to ensure a precise fit.
Fill spaces between tiles and stones with grout/sealant to provide a polished finish.
Mix cement and other materials required to complete the work.
Use appropriate equipment and/or hand tools.
Read and understand drawings and plans.
Excellent working and product application knowledge for substrate and waterproofing remediation.
Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all safety guidelines.
Troubleshoot issues that arise during the installation process.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a top-grade tile and stone installer.
At least 2-5 years management experience in a similar position with divisional P&L accountability.
Knowledge of various installation techniques.
Working knowledge of standard practices, materials, and tools.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Dependable and punctual.
Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Clean criminal record
Driver's License required.
Through the interview process the applicant will be asked to demonstrate hands-on competency in a controlled environment.
