Inside Out Painting & Maintenance is actively seeking skilled Architecture Coating Technicians to join our growing team. This role involves preparing surfaces and applying a wide range of coatings and protective finishes to residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of a variety of chemicals and products used to increase the durability of structures. The Architectural Coating Technician ensures that the projects of Inside Out Painting & Maintenance are based and sealed with the best products and applications to enhance the company’s portfolio and project output. Key Duties and Responsibilities include ensuring thorough surface preparation, adhering to employer-specified guidelines, preparing and repairing substrates through techniques such as patching, rendering, and cleaning, applying architectural coatings, render systems, and specialty finishes, operating tools safely and effectively according to job requirements, implementing high-quality protective measures for surrounding areas during the application process, conducting thorough quality checks to ensure coverage, consistency, and adherence to company standards, identifying substrate issues and recommending appropriate repair and coating solutions, and effectively communicating with other staff members.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: -High school diploma or equivalent -A minimum of five (5) years of recent and verifiable industry experience working in architectural coating, rendering, and/or exterior finishing -Strong knowledge of substrates, coatings, and application techniques -Ability to work safely and efficiently at heights while operating site equipment and tools. Preferred Additional Qualifications: -Valid driver’s license -Proficient in using high-performance polymer formulations, cement, aggregates, sealer resins, stains, and pigments for decorative and restorative coatings and finishes -Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and layout.
