Educational Therapist

The Ministry of Education is seeking exemplary Educational Therapists who are committed to improving student outcomes for the upcoming school year. The Educational Therapist works under the director of the Education Officer for Student Services, to support students who require behavior interventions beyond the scope of typical classroom management techniques.

Requirements

Must possess a Master's degree in an approved, related field (Behavior Management, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or other closely related field). Minimum of two years' experience in behavior analysis, behavioral disorders or working with students with emotional disorders or similar needs. Specialized training in behavior analysis and experience in behavior management programs and strategies (such as Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Response to Intervention and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) is essential. Additional credentials such as Certificate in Functional Behavioral Assessments, Post Master's Certificate in Behavioral Analysis or Clinical licensure are preferred.
