The Custodian works under the supervision of the school Principal and is responsible for providing complete cleaning services by establishing and maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment for students, staff and members of the public and carrying out the duties in an efficient and professional manner. The Custodian also provides support for the use of the school facility by both school and community events. Duties include performing daily cleaning/maintenance of the facility, operating cleaning equipment, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, providing custodial support to activities, and ensuring the security of the building.

Requirements

Minimum education qualifications include the Bermuda School Diploma (BSd) and basic reading skills. Previous experience of at least one year in a similar setting (hospital, hotel, or cleaning company) is preferred. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions. Physically fit to carry out job requirements and lift over 50lbs. Ability to work independently and maintain cleaning standards.
