Our client BAC Universal Electric, Bermuda’s longest serving electrical contracting and supply Company, have an immediate need and invite applications for the position of Licensed Journeyman Electrician. BAC Universal Electric offers a remuneration package and comprehensive staff benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience for the position. As a member of the BAC Group of Companies, BUE adheres to a policy of a drug free work environment and reserves the right to perform pre-employment criminal background checks and random drug tests. Key Duties and Responsibilities include Commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations and troubleshooting, interpreting drawings, specifications and all applicable codes, installation of control wiring systems, generator and UPS installation, fire alarm systems installation, installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of power and lighting systems, main distribution and panel installation, and establishing and maintaining customer relationships.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience include a recognised electrical qualification, licensed electrician by a reputable professional organization, full certification issued by the National Training Board of Bermuda, minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience as an electrician, ability to work independently of direct technical supervision, experience in daily supervision of apprentices, and effective oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be conscientious, reliable and dedicated to providing quality service to clients.
