General Manager

On behalf of Henry VIII Restaurant, Sushi Bar & Pub and Robin Hood Pub & Restaurant, we are seeking a qualified applicant to work as General Manager. You must have recent, directly relevant experience working in fast paced, high volume, dine in restaurants which also have heavy take out volumes. The position demands excellent timekeeping, requires working split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays. You must be willing to work at either location and be able to work well as a team and willing to assist others in the completion of their tasks. Must be knowledgeable and adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards at all times. The successful incumbent will exhibit a hands-on approach, be personable and be the ‘go-to’ person and the ‘face’ of the organization. Strong professional business practices and relationships with vendors are essential. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for all restaurant operations including implementing budgets, menu pricing, marketing, beverages, outside catering, and events. He/she will handle the hiring, training, and supervising of team members and actively promote the establishment.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in a supervisory dining room capacity in a similar environment is required. A four-year college degree in hospitality is preferred.
