Sous Chef

Willowbank Resort is looking for a Sous Chef to join their kitchen staff team. The successful applicant will be second in command over all kitchens and restaurants within the Resort. The applicant will employ their creative culinary and managerial skills in maintaining the structure set forth by the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef will also be largely in charge of the culinary team of chefs as well as the Porter(s). Key Responsibilities: • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner meeting quality standards in design and flavor Manage and train Kitchen Staff Liaise with On-Site Events Manager when necessary Assist Executive Chef in planning, inventory, menu planning and food preparation • Comply and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef Chef De Partie Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Excellent record of staff management Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions Familiar with industry's best practices Working knowledge of MS Office, Restaurant Management Software and POS systems
