Assistant Financial Controller

Primarily responsible for assisting with the various aspects of accounting for the company's sales, inventory, and general accounting transactions including monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting & analysis. Must have a strong accounting background for inventory at a mid-to-large distribution or retail/sales company and be knowledgeable in accounting systems and the general ledger. Perform financial projects as needed. This role reports to the Financial Controller.

Requirements

• Professional accounting designation, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent. Minimum of 5 Years experience in Financial, Retail and/or Inventory Accounting. Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience with emphasis on Excel skills. Experience with Quick Book Accounting Software for retail preferred. Clear attention to detail with information produced being complete, accurate and of high standard. Willing to work longer hours, weekends and public holidays as required to meet deadline and can address urgent matters as they arise. Excellent self-motivation, communication and interpersonal skills. Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships. Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
