Regional Financial Controller - Americas

This role encompasses management of the Finance Department across USA, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands offices. This role oversees the preparation of monthly financial statements and all required financial reporting, including monthly management reports in collaboration with local business support managers. Key responsibilities include preparing forecast income statements, the annual budget, and cash flow statements, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Controller will also manage accounts payable for all offices and oversee the aged receivables of fee earners by effectively managing the collections process.

Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or International equivalent) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience and experience of working in Financial control function in an international business environment. Proven experience in successful management, training and leading teams locally and remotely and strong technical knowledge of global NAVOne, including knowledge of the multi currency pushdown and working with multiple companies. Experience of developing and leading the outsourcing of work to a centralized shared service location. Experience in strategic initiative involving technological and process improvements. Knowledge of Cayman, Bermuda and BVI regulatory environment and statutory filings. Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written are essential along with a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership. Ability to prepare statutory financial statements. Previous audit experience and knowledge of IFRS preferred. Strong IT skills, in particular advanced Excel skills. Ability to work in a changing environment.
