Tyrell’s Alteration Services is seeking a dedicated Tailor to join our team. In this role, they will be responsible for a range of duties to ensure the creation of well-fitting and stylish garments. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the fashion and design industry. Key Duties and Responsibilities include operating sewing machines, marking fabrics for cutting and sewing, consulting with clients on design and fitting preferences, measuring clients for proper garment fit, creating custom clothing as per client specifications, altering and repairing clothing, inspecting finished products for quality, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience include a minimum of 10 years experience as a tailor and designer, advanced technical skills in sewing, pattern making, draping, and garment construction, strong knowledge in fabrics and clothing design, experience operating an industrial sewing machine and industrial pressing iron, experience designing and creating suits without a pattern, attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work well under pressure while adhering to deadlines. Some upholstery experience is preferred.
