The Fabricator/Welder is responsible for the fabrication, welding, repair, and modification of fleet components, equipment and structural metalwork to ensure the safety, reliability, and operational efficiency of all vehicles, equipment and machinery. This role supports the company's fleet maintenance and servicing function by delivering high-quality metalwork in line with engineering specifications, safety standards, and turnaround time requirements.The role plays a critical part in ensuring that company vehicles and equipment remain safe, roadworthy, and operational.This role supports the maintenance, repair, and fabrication needs of our fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, and operational machinery.➤ The "Apply Now" Button: If visible, this link may redirect you to an external website (not BermudaJobFinder) which may require you to create an account.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:Fabrics and modify metal components to support operational needs. Repair structural damage, frames, brackets, and custom fittings. Conduct rust removal, reinforcement, and preventative metal treatments. Support emergency repair work when required. Maintain tools and workshop equipment in safe working condition. Ensure compliance with Bermuda road safety and occupational health & safety standards. Collaborate closely with heavy diesel mechanic(s) and fleet supervisors. Understand and interpret blueprints, drawings and measurements to plan layout and procedures. Select appropriate welding processes and equipment based on material type and job requirements. Cut, shape, align and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication machinery. Perform welding in various positions (vertical, horizontal and overhead) using manual and/or automatic processes. Repair and/or modify machinery, parts or other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Inspect complete work to ensure structural integrity, accuracy and quality. Ensure all tools, machinery and work areas comply with health and safety requirements. Performing ad-hoc duties as required by Supervisor.Job-Specific Experience Requirements:Minimum of 5 years experience as a Fabricator/Welder (automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial preferred). Strong understanding of commercial vehicle structures and heavy-duty components. Familiarity with fabrication and welding tools (Angle grinders, power saws, drills, etc.). Experience using electrical and manual tools (Saws, squares, callipers, etc.). Basic understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to obtain Heavy Truck Drivers License.Key Competencies:Detail-oriented and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving. Time management and meeting deadlines.Salary
