Pillar Capital Management Limited (“Pillar”) is a Bermuda based reinsurer and investment manager overseeing an affiliated Class 3 reinsurer and multiple investment funds (the “Funds”). The Funds invest in traditional (re)insurance and financial market instruments whose performance is driven by underlying non life insurance risk. Pillar is recruiting a VP – Operations, a newly created role that will focus on investor relations & reporting, along with providing support to senior management on other general operational matters of a growing business. The VP – Operations will: play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and management of the Company’s CRM platform, work across business units in the management of workflows related to investor relations including subscriptions, redemptions, marketing materials, reporting, provide oversight of data room controls, coordinate operations and projects across multiple business units including business development, finance, compliance and underwriting, provide senior management with support across a variety of operational matters, strategic projects and overall management of the Bermuda office. Duties & Responsibilities Investor Relations Management of routine updates to all marketing materials, ensuring quality and adherence to policy and procedures. Documentation of policies and procedures regarding marketing materials, change management, distribution, etc. Management of on-going existing investor specific reporting including ad-hoc requests, annual ODD, etc. Working with internal stakeholders to manage RFPs for potential investors. Oversight of specified Fund Administrator reporting. Management of investor subscriptions, working with internal & external stakeholders to ensure a seamless process for investors. Manage internal communications and tracking of investor opportunities and redemptions. Management oversight of third-party fees and third-party databases. Responsible for the annual VDD for specified IR-related vendors. Enhancement and document policy and procedures over investor subscription / redemption documentation management, including naming conventions, file structure, etc. Working with internal stakeholders, establish and document SLA for specified vendors to ensure third party delivery of reporting is timely and accurate. CRM Working with internal stakeholders, ongoing enhancement of the Company’s CRM system, including workflows, data integrity, reporting, policy & procedure. Assist in the management of third-party placement agents. Other Provide input and support on various regulatory matters, including Codes of Conduct and other regulatory requirements. Management of side letter monitoring, notifications, and amendments. Work with internal stakeholders in the development of new products or funds, including assessing the impact on liquidity, regulatory, structural, reporting and other considerations, as required. Assist AML team with various documentation, reviews and periodic updates. Provide support to Senior Management in the establishment of documentation of a variety of policy and procedures and enhanced operational and business continuity framework across functions. The role will require the individual to develop an understanding of the finance function to provide ad hoc support as part of the Company’s cross training and business continuity plans. Other projects and tasks as required to support a growing business. Minimum Skills, Qualifications & Experience Professional accounting designation required (e.g., CA-CPA, U.S. CPA, CA(SA), ACA or equivalent. A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in the financial services industry, with strong exposure to both the (re)insurance and/ or fund sectors. Prior experience in a senior leadership role and management of a diverse team. Prior experience in the management of investor-related data portals, including policy development. Solid understanding of Bermuda’s regulatory landscape, including familiarity with the BMA’s Insurance Act 1978, Investment Funds Act 2006, Economic Substance Act, Codes of Conduct, AML/ATF Guidance Notes, PIPA. Solid understanding of the institutional investor market, including types of investors, ERISA, etc. High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritizing multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment while exercising discretion and confidentiality. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups), with solid working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. Experience administering or managing CRM systems, including user configuration, data integrity oversight, and internal policy development. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including investors, regulators, C-suite executives, and board members. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and Bermuda public holidays, as required during critical reporting periods.
