Our Client is looking for an experienced and qualified Elder Caregiver/ Housekeeper/ Companion (Live In). The successful candidate will be a qualified professional, responsible for providing support, care and companionship for an elderly female. Responsibilities will include personal care assistance (including bathing, grooming and dressing), mobility support, administration/monitoring of medicines, housecleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation. Transportation to appointments, activities and other errands will be needed, and over time, more care and home support will be required. A friendly and calm personality, patient and kind manner and a willingness to go beyond the call of duty are essential. Effective communication skills with others will be needed.
Requirements
Minimum of three years' directly relevant elder caregiving experience; familiarity with mobility constraints; experience monitoring vitals; ability to work extended hours/overnight/weekends; current CPR certification and geriatric aid (or equivalent) certification; valid driver's license and safe driving record; non-smoking and vaccinated; registered with the Bermuda Health Council; must undergo thorough background checks.
