Island Nutrition Limited requires 2 Registered Dietitians. Applicants MUST have a relevant degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, minimum 3-5 years relevant post graduate experience, and registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professionals or eligibility to register. Post 1 includes managing a diverse medical nutrition caseload encompassing general and complex paediatrics, plus a widely variable adult caseload. Requires clinical community/outpatient experience including management of CVDs, fatty liver, Diabetes, cardiology, gastro (incl FODMAP and ostomies), allergies, learning disabilities, oncology, failure to thrive, CKD, obesity, nutrition support and tube feeding. Post 2 includes managing a diverse medical nutrition caseload encompassing a range general and complex adult patients, plus occasional cover for a general paediatrics caseload. Requires clinical community/outpatient experience including the ability to manage widely varied caseload including weight management, CVDs, fatty liver, Diabetes, cardiology, GI issues, oncology, CKD, nutrition support, geriatrics, home enteral feeding, and some general paediatrics. Applicants must have relevant experience of working with adults (and children) in a variety of settings including in office, telemed, home visits, 1:1, groups and satellite clinics. The role includes the creation and delivery of presentations and educational materials for events such as lunch and learns, health fairs, and wellness events. The Registered Dietitian is expected to provide high quality, evidence-based, medical nutrition care to patients and clients in a variety of settings.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD). Must have a relevant degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Minimum 3-5 years post graduate experience. Registered with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professionals or eligibility to register. Requires clinical community/outpatient experience relevant to the post, including the ability to manage a widely varied medical nutrition caseload of adult (and paediatric) clients, such as the management of overweight/obesity (including both medical and surgical/bariatric weight management), CVDs, fatty liver, Diabetes, cardiology, gastroenterology (incl FODMAP), allergies, learning disabilities, oncology, failure to thrive, CKD (incl dialysis), geriatrics, nutrition support and tube feeding (HEF). Must have relevant experience of working with adults (and children). Experience of working in an outpatient and/or community setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have some flexibility of working hours over a 35-hour working week, including occasional evenings and weekends. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Bermuda drivers license, if needed, to fulfill the role.
