The Skilled Landscape Gardener is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labor), in order to assist with the completion of landscape projects. The Skilled Landscape Gardener will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment particularly those used for the purpose of landscape installation, restoration and maintenance. Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in all forms of landscaping. Must have a minimum of 3 years' horticulture experience. Must have extensive knowledge on the use of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticide applications. Possession of a certificate of Landscape Installation and Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience operating verticutter, aerifier, sod cutter, tractor and zero-turn mower. Must be proficient in the usage of a Reel Mower. An intermediate truck license, with a clean driving record would be an asset. Must have own transportation. This is a physically demanding position, so the successful applicant MUST be prepared to work long hours and public holidays as required.
