We are currently seeking applicants for our MARKETING ACTUARY position. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing, writing, documenting, reporting and monitoring existing and new treaties for Hannover Re Bermuda Life & Health portfolios. The Marketing Actuary supports the Senior Marketing Actuaries and the Chief Business Development Officer with their marketing activities and any other duties as the Company may reasonably require from time to time. Key Duties include analysing, modelling and pricing new business opportunities, developing pricing models, executing treaty related duties, documenting pricing analysis, monitoring performance of treaties, managing actuarial experience studies, contributing to new tools development, and supporting team members in marketing the company’s financial solutions.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Associate or Fellow of Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or other life actuarial qualifications from a recognized professional body. Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in pricing for life and health (re)insurance. Technical experience in the specialist fields of mortality, morbidity, health and critical illness. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Technically proficient in Excel, Visual basic, Database management tools (Access/SQL/Power BI) and working knowledge of Microsoft Suites. Required Competencies, Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic with a willingness to work extra hours on occasion to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to travel on an as needed basis. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
