Elegance Stitches has positions available for Two Tailors and Two Seamstresses. Duties include measuring and fitting clients, sewing garments, performing alterations and repairs, maintaining equipment, keeping the workspace organized, assisting customers, and carrying out other related duties. Candidates must be proficient in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines, overlock machines, pressing equipment, and hand-sewing tools. Applicants must be experienced in taking measurements, cutting patterns, resizing, hemming, replacing zippers, and working with various fabrics. Knowledge of constructing and altering men’s and women’s clothing, including suits, dresses, trousers, shirts, jackets, skirts, and formal wear, is required.
Requirements
Minimum of five years of professional experience in tailoring and/or dressmaking, with strong skills in garment construction, alterations, repairs, fitting, and finishing. Proficiency in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines, overlock machines, pressing equipment, and hand-sewing tools.
