Director of Taxpayer Services and Compliance

Reporting to the Managing Director of Taxpayer Services and Compliance, the Director of Taxpayer Services and Compliance is responsible for leading the taxpayer services function at CITA, ensuring efficient, transparent, and responsive interactions between corporate taxpayers and the Agency. The role exists to enhance taxpayer compliance, promote voluntary tax participation, and improve the overall taxpayer experience through the development of service delivery strategies, education initiatives, and digital solutions. The Director of Taxpayer Services and Compliance ensures that CITA’s taxpayer services align with Bermuda’s corporate tax regulations, international best practices, and the Agency’s strategic objectives.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Taxation, Public Administration, Finance, or Business is preferred. Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), or equivalent is an asset. Knowledge of Bermuda’s corporate income tax framework and international tax principles is an asset. A minimum of 9 years experience in taxation, financial services, or public administration is necessary.
