Head Of Employment

The Head of Employment will be responsible for leading and developing the Bermuda employment law practice. This senior associate-level position requires a highly skilled and experienced employment lawyer who can provide strategic advice, manage complex cases, and support the firm's clients in all aspects of Bermuda employment law. The successful candidate will play a key role in business development, client relationship management, and the ongoing growth of the team. WHAT WILL YOU DO Provide expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of Bermuda employment law, including contracts of employment, workplace policies, terminations, redundancies, and regulatory compliance. Represent clients in employment disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation before Bermuda tribunals. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring the highest standards of client service and satisfaction. Mentor and supervise junior lawyers within the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contribute to marketing initiatives, and participate in networking events to enhance the firm's profile in the Bermuda employment law market. Keep abreast of legal developments in Bermuda employment law and ensure the team's knowledge base is current and comprehensive. Deliver internal and external training sessions on employment law topics relevant to Bermuda. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally with exposure to Bermuda or other offshore jurisdictions. Demonstrable expertise in advising on complex employment matters, including contentious and non-contentious issues. Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience representing clients in employment disputes. Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships at a senior level. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics and client care.

Requirements
