Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Global Compliance this is a key role in assisting Conyers licensable businesses meet and comply with the related Acts, Regulations and Guidelines regarding anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing (AML/ATF/ CPF) controls across multiple offshore jurisdictions and ensure that all aspects of the overall AML/ATF/ CPF programme are carried out in line with Conyers global policies and procedures. The incumbent will assist the team in all matters relating to AML/ATF/CPF and Sanctions in regard to on-boarding and ongoing monitoring, including transactional activity in support of Conyers customer due diligence (CDD) and risk management framework. What Will You Do Respond to internal queries by providing guidance and advice on matters relating to Know Your Customer(KYC), CDD for new and existing customers, as well as general AML/ATF/CPF related inquiries across all risk levels Review and vet new business applications to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and make recommendations on CDD including enhanced due diligence requirements Review existing clients as part of the ongoing monitoring program and ensure that any identified changes are properly reflected in the customer's risk profile. Analyse ongoing customer screening alerts related t Economic & Trade Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Special Interest Persons; research and provide detailed investigation documentation, and escalate as required Identify and document transactions or individuals that present potential money laundering/ terrorist financing roliferation financing risk and escalate any instances of suspicious activity to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) Assist as required in the completion of various compliance projects and reports for management Assist in ensuring required action is taken for compliance with regulatory obligations Become familiarized with regulatory regimes in multiple offshore jurisdictions Any other ad hoc duties or projects as may be reasonably assigned What You'll Need 1-3 years related experience with prior exposure to a regulatory environment preferred Prior experience and knowledge with anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and customer due diligence procedures across a variety of entity types e.g. Private Companies, Quoted Companies, Partnerships, Trusts Strong analytical skills with proven attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality of customer information Must be a team player with a collaborative approach to problem solving and willing to assist other team members as and when needed Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic Strong time management skills, flexible, and able to meet tight deadlines Familiarity with Microsoft Office, proficiency in the use of open-source information tools and working knowledge of database management software is an asset.
